Kamaya Prince Thompson
Kamaya is from the South Shore of Massachusetts and has been a part of several independent schools. She credits her self-confidence and love of her history and culture to her time at Cornerstone Christian Preparatory School in Brockton, Mass. It was there that she started to find her voice and began to see true educators at work. After Cornerstone, she went on to attend The Winsor School in Brookline -- a place she still calls home. Kamaya is a proud Winsor Woman. She earned her B.A. in English from Skidmore College and was able to spend her junior year abroad studying Shakespeare and Jane Austen in London and Bath respectively. It was her time in Britain that gave her the confidence to move to China where she was fortunate enough to meet her husband, Jeremiah. After leaving China, they married and raised twin girls in Northern VA until 2017 when they moved to Cleveland. Kamaya fervently proclaims that moving to Cleveland was one of the "best decisions she ever made." They welcomed their third baby girl in 2019. Kamaya does everything with her family in mind. She feels grateful, every day, for the support from her extended family in both Cleveland and Boston. She currently lives in Columbus, OH.
