Meet Our Founder – Kamaya Prince Thompson
Kamaya Prince Thompson is an educator, researcher, consultant, and storyteller committed to transforming educational spaces. A firm believer in relational leadership, Kamaya creates spaces where deep reflection meets bold action. With over 20 years of experience in independent schools and global education, Kamaya founded Culture Classroom in 2009 to help leaders and organizations cultivate cultures where people can thrive — personally, professionally, and collectively.
As a doctoral candidate researching wholeness in leadership and education, Kamaya brings both research and lived experience to her work. Her core belief that wholeness is not a destination but a journey — informs every workshop, cohort experience, and session she facilitates. Her framework invites leaders to explore self-knowledge, grounding relationships, and mission-driven work, resulting in greater clarity, connection, and capacity.
Kamaya has worked with schools, nonprofits, and corporate teams across the country and around the world. From leadership bootcamps to international pilgrimages, she helps individuals and institutions lead with authenticity, courage, and joy.
